Founded by Leena, a visionary songwriter and educator, and Max, with his deep roots in the music production world, the duo recognised a troubling trend in the music scene.
While there were countless talented and genuine artists out there, many were drowning in the industry's manipulative, superficial, and often exploitative practices that neither Leena nor Max could stand by...
That's why, after a combined experience of over two decades working with some of the most influential names in music, they decided to launch Songbird Society...
To offer artists a sanctuary where they could not only hone their craft but also find a supportive community that prioritised their authenticity, growth, and courage...
And to champion a movement in the music industry that put artists' well-being where it should be: centre stage.

Meet THE Co-Founders
Leena Regan
Co-Founder | Billboard-Charting Songwriter | Independent Artist | Vocal, Songwriting, & Artist Coach | Music Industry Copywriter
Leena is a leading edge music educator, who has written and created accredited university curricula for various levels in the subject of songwriting at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, where she taught Vocals, Songwriting, Stage Performance, Artist Development, and Consulted on Student Projects for nearly 7 years before co-founding Songbird Society.
Her studio credits have appeared on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show National Airplay Chart, All Access’s MediaBase Dance Chart, Sirius XM’s Electro Chart, A State of Trance (Live), various Spotify and Apple Music Editorial Playlists, and both live and streamed music festivals across the globe.
Leena has appeared as an expert songwriting panelist at the world-renowned ASCAP I Create Music Expo, Columbia College Chicago, and Neon Owl.
Leena earned her Bachelor of Music from Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a Double Emphasis in Vocal Performance and Music Business, where she was chosen as one of the four performing artists to represent her Alma Mater at its annual Urban/Pop Showcase.
Max Hurrell
Co-Founder | Producer | Mixing Engineer | Recording Engineer | Songwriter | Production & Engineering Coach
Before opening Songbird Society, Max was working as a full-time recording engineer at Atlantic Records APG Studios in Hollywood, California.
Max has a history of working in iconic Los Angeles and Australian recording studios, having run sessions at Capitol Records, Atlantic Records, NightBird Studios, EchoBar Recording Studios, JR Recording Studio, and more.
He has been mentored by industry giants such as Erik Ron (Panic! at the Disco, Atilla, Too Close To Touch), Bob Horn (Ne-Yo, Mario, Brandy), Erik Reichers (BTS, Lupe Fiasco, Snoop Dogg), and Dave Pensado (Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas).
Max produces, engineers, and co- writes with a myriad of signed and independent artists across a wide array of genres, both internationally and within Australia.
He has experience in a large array of professional environments: from large format recording consoles, to modern/hybrid production techniques.
Max always brings a raw and contagious enthusiasm to the studio, in order to guide each artist to fulfil their full creative vision.
