  • The Free Ranger is based upon the Full Ranger-EQ from SPL’s EQ Rangers series. It features four very useful bands: The 16 kHz center frequency band is great for adding very pleasant brilliance; the 1.8kHz center frequency band really brings out lead vocals and guitars or reduces harshness; the 150 Hz center frequency band adds warmth, making tracks fuller & fatter, while the 40 Hz center frequency band adds that sub thump or reduces rumble.

  • Polishing your mix’s low end can be tricky. Bass DI tracks can sound mushy, and kick tracks can lose their “pop.” Sometimes everything below 100Hz can become such an undifferentiated soup of noise that you just don’t know where to start! Start here: The bx_subfilter is just the ticket for adding clarity and definition to tracks that have troublesome low frequencies. There are lots of expensive and complicated EQ plugins out there, but when it comes to shaping your low end, the bx_subfilter is unique for its ease and simplicity. With just a few quick adjustments to its four-knob interface, you can breathe new life into those 808s that have been muddying your mix.

  • The niveau filter first gained prominence in the filter section of elysia’s famous mpressor, where it was used to add punch to muffled snares, reduce the harshness from active pickups, or as a sound design tool to create everything from a telephone tone to low-fi loops. This filter provides a super simple way to change the overall sonic character of a signal. It features two comprehensive controllers and is capable of producing powerful results in no time at all. Whenever a classic shelving filter would be too limited and a fully parametric filter would be too much, the niveau filter plugin is the perfect tool.

  • Ever wonder why there are Hi-Pass and Lo-Pass filters in every channel of the most expensive analog consoles, like SSLs and NEVEs? The reason is professional mixers rely on Hi-Pass and Lo-Pass filters to clean up the mud from the bottom and the grit from the high end, often as the first stage of the mixing process.

bx_cleansweep is the plugin that should go into every mix channel as the first plugin. This way you can filter out any unwanted hi-end and lo-end, and the result is a clean and tight mix.

  • The bx_rockrack V3 boasts eight famous amp models in a single plugin, including the bx_metal 666, an original creation of Brainworx founder Dirk Ulrich and Senior DSP Engineer Igor Nembrini. On top of that, 40 impulse responses are included, offering just the right variety of tone and timbre for your guitar rig. As with all their guitar amps, Brainworx gives you a powerful selection of perfectly recorded boutique cabinets captured with complete effects chains from studios featuring great sounding amp rooms and stellar gear. Each amp was painstakingly recorded by professional audio engineers who make their living by capturing tone. Imagine being able to take your pick of famous amps from Marshall®, Mesa, and ENGL, then running them through any one of several speaker cabinets mic’d and treated with the studio rack of your dreams. bx_rockrack V3 brings this dream to life, right inside your DAW.

*Activate the fully functional 14-day demo with your Plugin Alliance account today to hear for yourself (no dongle required)!

  • Brainworx created bx_solo to introduce users to the M/S technique for recording, mixing, or mastering. Key features of Brainworx´s famous M/S & Mastering products are included, like their unique Solo Buttons, which allow you to individually listen to all components of a stereo mix or stereo signal.
